How to prevent this page from showing after every reboot?
This page should only automatically show once after the upgrade.
If you reboot the phone and/or kill the application the settings will not get updated and the upgrade won't be complete.
To fix this issue it should be as simple as visiting the settings page once.
Please send me your log file if this fix doesn't work for you. Next release will also fix this issue.
Why do I have two MyContacts icons?
The new icon, MyContacts 2, gives you quick access to the "new interface" being developed - still experimental.
How do I search for a contact?
Only the "new interface" allows searching
Why my contacts are not sorted by name?
There is a known issue on how the backend sort names for contacts without First and Last Name (just Nickname). The "new interface" work around this.
How to change Group settings?
Widget: click on the desktop so the settings button will show, click on it and then click on the "tool button" for the mycontacts widget.
Application: select Settings on the menu and then Groups
How to add Contacts to a group?
Widget: double click on group icon.
Application: select Settings in the menu and then Groups; Click on the right most button for the group you want to edit (the column is called "Contacts" and the number on the button represents the number of contacts currently assigned to the group)
Online accounts button look bad on portrait mode. How to reset/fix?
On the x-terminal type rm /home/user/.mycontacts/*.css and press enter.
Make sure to make a copy of them if you have modified them previously.
How to prevent the widget from being automatically installed after each boot? (Advanced User)
Run on x-terminal as root rm /etc/event.d/mycontacts
Important: after this, the application will not monitor incoming calls until manually initiated.
